Homemade Brown Sugar Coffee Scrub
Wake your skin up for Spring and slough off the dry winter flakes with this homemade brown sugar coffee scrub! I try to put aside some leftover grounds (or a couple used K-Cups) so I can do this scrub once a week – it works wonders when I remember to do it 😉
Did you know: The caffeine in the coffee is a powerful anti-inflammatory? Yep! It helps to get rid of puffiness and redness – so if you’re prone to blemishes on your back or anywhere else… this should help some with that. 🙂
To make this Homemade Brown Sugar & Coffee Scrub you’ll need:
- 1 Tbsp Leftover coffee grounds
- 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- A drizzle of olive oil
- A couple drops of essential oil (IF you have some on hand and would like to! Otherwise, olive oil’s just fine.)
Mix together the ingredients and keep by the bathtub for your next little chunk of “me” time 🙂 After exfoliating, rinse off the paste with warm water and pat dry – the olive oil leaves your skin feeling silky soft and a little dewy.
Interesting Fact: Incorporating used coffee grounds into your soil enriches it. So throw the rest in your garden or any potted plants you have around the house!
