My hubby does not play around when it comes to gas prices. He might not remember what he had for lunch yesterday, but he knows how much gas costs at just about any gas station around. He knows how much it costs this morning compared to how much it cost yesterday. Needless to say, he is very intentional to save as much as he can on gas since it’s such a large expense for our family. Over the years, we’ve figured out easy ways to save money on gas by earning fuel rewards that don’t require a lot of time or effort on our part.
When Kroger contacting me about their newest Fuel Points campaign and promotion I knew it would be valuable to you all so I couldn’t wait to share. Right now from 9/20/17 – 10/18/17 we can earn 2x the Fuel Points on Private Selection products at participating Kroger stores (excludes JayC and Ralphs). I wanted to make sure I was familiar with the Private Selection products so my oldest daughter and I made a late night trip to Kroger after two ballgames to do a little scavenger hunt to find Private Collection products. I thought perhaps it might make it easier for you when you were in-store shopping.
Private Selection Gourmet and Artisan Foods can be found in the following departments:
- Baking & Cooking
- Frozen Foods
- Sauces & Grains
- Spread Condiments, & Dressings
Although I had already grocery shopped for the week and didn’t need anything, I couldn’t resist picking up a Private Selection Summer Sausage and Cheese for our Tailgating party on Saturday as well as Bay Leaves for soups and Stews this winter.
Now, back to saving money on gas. In addition to the Private Selection products offering 2X Fuel Points with purchase, there are several other easy ways to increase Fuel Points that are significant.
- Earn 50 points on qualifying prescriptions in the pharmacy.
- Earn 50 points every time you complete a survey from the bottom of your registry tape.
- Look out for the 4x Gift Card Event running from 9/20/17 – 9/27/17 and 10/11/17 – 10/18/17 where you can earn even more.
While I was there, I purchased a Lowe’s gift card since my hubby already has a project in the works and needed several other supplies as well as a Zaxby’s gift card since we run through the drive through every Wednesday night on the way to church.
If you are wondering about the variety of gift cards that Kroger offers, I snapped a couple of pics from the various displays to give you an idea. With the holidays quickly approaching, buying gift cards in advance when 4x the Fuel Points are offered would be a great way to save on travel.
