Tips for Saving Money
Looking for tips for saving money? If you are buying produce cleaner at the grocery store, it’s pretty pricey. We eat A TON of fresh produce at our house. When I say a TON, I’m not exaggerating at all. We aren’t able to buy all of our produce organic, so until then I do want to make sure our produce is as clean as possible. With just a few ingredients, you can whip up this homemade produce cleaner to keep on hand. It last a long time, and is much cheaper than produce cleaner from the grocery store.
To make your own Produce Cleaner you will need:
1 cup of water
1 cup distilled white vinegar (optional)
1 tbsp. baking soda
1/2 lemon, juiced
Simply combine all of the ingredients in a clean (new is best since you are dealing with food) spray bottle). Thoroughly spray your fruit or produce, and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then, scrub and rinse your produce in clean water and set aside on a clean towel to dry. That’s it! Your produce is now clean and ready to consume!
