We have kids of all ages from almost 13 down to 11 months old. So, when toy shopping it’s important to shop at a store that has a wide selection of toys for all ages because this busy momma of four doesn’t get out much, which means I don’t have time to be going all over town shopping at a bunch of different stores. One of my favorite stores to shop that makes my kids (and my husband happy) is Best Buy. Their large assortment of toys, as well as electronics, gaming devices, home theater items, computers, appliances, and more, keep my entire family occupied while in the store. However, I have found that by first perusing the Best Buy Toys Gift Guide we save ourselves and our sanity with two little ones two years old and younger. It also helps us to shop for our kids and pass along gift ideas to the grandparents.
Usually, I’m clueless as to what toys are the “hot” items this holiday season as my hands are so full with my family, homeschooling, and work I don’t watch much TV. So, the Toys Gift Guide is exactly what I needed to know what toys my kids might want this year. I was pleased with the vast assortment of toys from classic toys, to learning toys, to tech toys and more. If you are looking for gift ideas for kids on your list, I thought I’d share some of our favorites for inspiration.
Parker the Bear
My oldest daughter wants to be a pediatric nurse practitioner, therefore when any of us gets a boo-boo or aren’t feeling well, she wants to take care of us. Always wanting to be like her big sister, my 3-year-old wants to do exactly what big sissy is doing. I think this would make the sweetest gift for her. Now, she can pretend that she is taking care of Parker the Bear.
Hasbro – Disney Frozen Festive Friends Collection
This set of dolls from Frozen is sure to make my 3 year old happy. We just took her to Disney’s Frozen on Ice this week, and she is all about everything Frozen. Plus, she loves little dolls like these that she can carry around and play with from room to room.
The LEGO Batman Movie Batmobile
My eleven-year-old son has been enamored with LEGO’s for years. He just can’t get enough kits, and with so many different varieties there are enough to keep him occupied for years. With four kids, LEGO kits might be my most favorite kind of toy solely because my house is almost quiet when my big kids are building.
Recoil Starter Set
Both my oldest daughter and son love Laser Tag. While it’s fun to play laser tag at our local bowling alley, it also means getting the entire family out to wait while they play. I already see hours of entertainment with the GPS-enabled battlefield.
My oldest daughter has been mentioning Hasbro Dropmix to me lately. Both she and my son love everything music. They already love to sing and play music together, so I know this game is right up their alley since they can compete to create song mixes.
There were so many other great toys in the Best Buy Toys Gift Guide. I think my kids ended up picking just about every single toy in the book with the exception of just a couple. Of course, they won’t get them all, but the selection to choose from sure made the kids excited as they chatted about them together. I also saw great options to buy as donation items this Holiday Season. As much as we love shopping for our kids, we love shopping as a family together for other kids less fortunate. I think it helps my kids appreciate what they have even more.
