Grilled Potatoes in Foil (Oven Directions Too!)

  • 3 Large Russet Potatoes peeled and cubed into 1" pieces
  • 1 Chopped Onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Minced Garlic
  • 3 Tablespoons of Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Seasoned Salt like Lawry's
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter or Spread
  • 1 Cup Shredded Cheese whichever kind you have will be fine!
  • Crumbled Bacon Bacon Bits will work in a pinch


  • In a large bowl, mix together the first six ingredients until coated well.
  • Lie out a double-thick piece of aluminum foil (about 18" square) and spray with cooking spray.
  • Fold the potatoes into the center, pinch the seams to seal tightly.
  • Grill for 18 minutes on each side, add cheese and bacon at the end and let melt for 5 minutes.
  • Oven Direction: Place foil packet/packets on a cookie sheet and cook on 450 for 40 minutes.
