Ingredients

Chicken Marinade

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3 medium cloves garlic minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh oregano minced or 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley minced and lightly packed or 4 teaspoons dried parsley
  • ¼ cup fresh basil minced and lightly packed or 4 teaspoons dried basil

Chicken

  • 4 8 oz boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Olive oil cooking spray

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together ingredients for the marinade. Add chicken breast to a large container or resealable bag, pour marinade over chicken, seal or cover.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for up to 4 hours.
  • Remove from the refrigerator and let your chicken reach room temperature. (20-30 minutes)
  • Preheat your air fryer to 370° F for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the air fryer basket and place chicken breasts inside, leaving room between the breasts, so they cook evenly.
  • Spray each chicken breast with olive oil.
  • Place back into preheated air fryer and cook for 10 minutes
  • Remove the basket and flip breasts over, spray again with olive oil and cook for another 6-8 minutes; chicken is done when the internal temperature reaches 160° F when checked with an instant-read thermometer.
  • Remove your chicken from the air fryer basket and allow it to rest for 5 minutes before serving!
  • Garnish chicken with fresh oregano, parsley, and/or basil.

Notes

*Make sure chicken breasts are not too thin or too thick. Thicker chicken breasts will take longer to cook. If you want to slice them in half, to shorten the cooking time you, can. Just make sure you do not overcook the chicken! You could also sub chicken thighs if preferred.
If you had rather use chicken thighs, you can substitute instead of chicken breasts.
