Kasey Trenum

Hi, I’m Kasey Trenum, the creator of KaseyTrenum.com. I’ve been blogging since 2009 and sharing recipes that make everyday life easier, especially for families who want food that tastes good without being complicated.

This site is where I share family-friendly low-carb and keto recipes that actually work in real life. Not trendy food. Not overly fussy steps. Just meals you can make, enjoy, and repeat.

Why You Can Trust My Recipes

Low-carb cooking didn’t start as a trend for our family. It started as a necessity.

Both my husband and my oldest daughter have Type 1 diabetes. We’ve been counting carbs for a long time! Over 29 years, to be more specific.

Long before keto was popular, we were learning how to make food that was filling, practical, and tasted amazing while still keeping blood sugar in mind.

After having my last two babies in my 40s, I personally leaned into a low-carb approach to lose my baby weight. As a picky eater who grew up on Southern comfort food, I couldn’t find recipes that were satisfying and doable for family life. So I started creating my own.

Since 2017, my focus has been on developing low-carb and keto recipes that:

  • Use simple and familiar ingredients
  • Don’t require special skills
  • Work for busy schedules
  • And pass the family test

If a recipe doesn’t taste great, feel satisfying, or fit real life, it doesn’t make it onto the site.
