This skillet pork chop is easy to prepare. Follow the added tips in this picture tutorial, and you’ll master this recipe quickly.
Tip: Begin this recipe by heating the cast iron skillet on medium-high heat then add the olive oil and allow it to get nice and hot before adding the pork chops. Next, sear the pork chops in the skillet for a few minutes on each side. It’s essential to get a good sear to seal in the juices and for added flavor. If they feel like they are sticking to the pan, it’s a sign they aren’t ready to turn. Leave them a bit longer, and they will turn over easily. Although I generally use boneless thin-cut pork chops in this recipe, bone-in pork chops or thick-cut boneless are options as well. In either case, the cooking time may need to be adjusted.
Once the pork chops are nice and browned, set them aside to make the creamy parmesan garlic low carb sauce.

Could we cook the chops on the charcoal grill and then just make and add the sauce after?
Kasey says
I haven’t personally tried it but I’m not sure why it wouldn’t work.
Deonn says
I didn’t read all the comments. But can you use bone in Pork Chops?

Sure! They will work as well.

So good!! Maybe dumb question but what’s the serving size?
Kasey says
The serving size is listed at the top of the recipe card. I just divide it evenly.
Angela says
I’m wondering if I can throw it all in the instant pot?
Kasey says
I don’t think it would work as the sauce needs to reduce.

Looking forward to trying this recipe although we don’t eat chops, we do however have a freezer half full of pork steaks from the two pigs we raise every year. The steaks need an hour in the oven to be tender, sounds so yummy!!!

Absolutely excellent! I never measure anything and just add the ingredients willy nilly (so to speak). I didn’t have Italian seasoning so I added some basil, oregano, and a little dried thyme. I tripled the fresh garlic and added about 6 ounces of blue cheese crumbles to the sauce with a significantly more chicken broth and cream. The sauce reduced amazingly. I also used bone-in center cut pork chops that were a perfect medium and tender. The result; I could drink the sauce! Served with roasted broccoli, can’t wait to eat the leftovers!
Kasey says
Sounds perfect to me! So glad you enjoyed it.
Kelly M Foster says

Really wonderful, thank you! Hubby said “you can make this every night and I wouldn’t complain.” I find cooking chops difficult, I always seem to dry them out. They come out wonderfully in the slow cooker.
Kasey says
Yay! That is definitely a win.
Toni says
