I love the ease of smoothies. Not only are they delicious, but they pack quite the flavor as well. One of the best things about these Keto smoothies is that they are good enough to taste like a “treat” while not deterring you from your Keto lifestyle. It’s no stretch to say that you can start your day with any of these easy Keto smoothie recipes for breakfast or have them as an after-dinner snack. Smoothies are so quick and easy that it’s hard to ignore the appeal. It doesn’t get much more simple than these easy keto smoothies!

I’ve had so many asking for smoothie recipes, so I thought I’d share a roundup of the best keto smoothie recipes online. Whether you are craving a green smoothie, a berry blend, or richer flavors like peanut butter and chocolate, there’s a keto smoothie! You can even make a batch in advance to enjoy throughout the week. Keep reading to see how!

Which fruits are best for keto smoothies?

Unfortunately, not all fruits are keto friendly. In fact, some contain over 20 grams of net carbohydrates per serving! Whether you’re making keto smoothies or enjoying a healthy snack, it’s important to be aware of how many carbs you’re actually consuming. A few of the best keto friendly fruits include blueberries, strawberries, avocados, raspberries, and blackberries. These recipes for keto smoothies are made with a low carb lifestyle in mind, so you can add them to your meal plan without worrying about breaking your diet.

Can you make a smoothie in advance?

Absolutely! Smoothies are one of the best make-ahead options for a quick snack or breakfast without the prep. Although it is easy and quick to make a smoothie in the morning, sometimes we just can’t find the time. Luckily, there are a few ways to make these keto smoothies in advance. For example, one option is to make a batch of smoothies and freeze them in sealed mason jars. The night before you plan to drink it, move it to the fridge to let it defrost overnight. If you’re a fan of meal prepping, this is definitely the way to go. In fact, frozen keto smoothies will last about 3 months in the freezer! You can also store your smoothie ingredients in a freezer bag for easy blending without the prep.

Don’t want to freeze? Most smoothies will lasts just fine for up to 3 days in the fridge. This way, you can prepare a few smoothies on a Sunday or Monday and enjoy them through the week.

What’s the best blender for making smoothies?

You can find many high-quality blenders these days. I recommend a high-speed blender so that your keto smoothies become totally blended and smooth. A great workhouse with a cheaper price point is a Ninja Blender, while the most popular heavy-duty blender is a Vitamix or Blendtec. Since blenders come in handy for many other recipes in the kitchen, it’s worth the money, in my opinion. You could also use a portable, single-serving blender like the NutriBullet. Unless you’re making smoothies for the whole family, these smaller blenders are super convenient. They don’t require you to wash an entire blender, and you can even detach the cup to bring your smoothie to the office or wherever your day takes you.
