I may not have cooked it long enough, but my chaffle was quite good. I used egg whites (I only have them on hand right now) and made some sliced almonds into a “flour” and used Havarti cheese and 1/8 tsp of baking soda. I will make these again, for sure. Oh, and I sprinkled some homemade cinnamon sugar on top.

  9. I have a real aversion to any ‘brown’ on my eggs. I gag at the taste and smell. I do love scrambled eggs as long as they are cooked slowly and have no brown. Can anyone tell me if Chaffles have this smell and taste before I invest in a waffle maker?

    1. Pamela, I am with you on the eggs. People look at me as crazy when I order my scrambled eggs well done but not burnt. LOL. I love chaffles, but I can’t speak to the severity of your aversion.
