Although I’d still use it in a pinch as I do have to choose my battles, this homemade taco seasoning recipe that my friend, Jamie, came up with a couple of years ago is keto friendly and low carb. If you make this in advance, it is equivalent to 6-9 taco seasoning packets depending if you use 2 or 3 tablespoons each time. The best part about homemade taco seasoning is that you’ll know EXACTLY what is in it -and what’s not and, it has less carbs than taco seasoning packets while being cheaper in the long run.

- ½ cup chili powder
- ¼ cup ground cumin
- 1 tbsp + 1
- 2 tsp of Onion Powder
- 1 tsp of Dried Minced Onion
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp coriander
- 2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp + 1
tspof Pink Salt
- 2 tbsp + 1
tspPepper (If you like it spicy, sub out part of the black pepper with cayenne)
- Put it all in a jar or storage container and shake.
- Two to three tablespoons of this seasoning mixture
isequivalent to one packet of seasoning.
Yield: This makes approx 6-9 servings depending if you use 2 or 3 tablespoons of the spice mixture per recipe.
