I don’t spend a lot of time meal prepping, but one thing I do as often as possible is brown extra ground beef at once and store it in the freezer divided into freezer safe containers. It makes so much sense to brown extra since I’m already browning ground beef anyway. Then, the next time I need it, I grab a container out of the fridge and can have dinner on the table in a snap. You can find this tip and a couple of others in 5 easy meal prep ideas.
Once your ground beef is browned, dump all of the ingredients in a skillet and stir to combine. Before you know it, you’ll have an amazing dinner that tastes incredible.
One other thing to point out about this easy keto sloppy joe recipe is that it’s perfect for any level of keto cooking. You can make it with ease for any type of meal and feel confident.
Are there substitutes for Monkfruit Golden and Bragg’s Aminos?
Yes, you can sub Swerve Brown for Monkfruit Golden. Both are sugar-free brown sugar substitutes. Bragg’s Aminos is a healthier alternative to soy sauce. If you are avoiding soy, Coconut Aminos is a perfect sub.
Bringing the Low Carb Sloppy Joe Skillet to a boil then simmering helps all of the flavors to infuse into the ground beef. Once you remove the lid, continue to simmer until the mixture reduces and thickens.
How do you store leftover Low Carb Sloppy Joe?
Place any leftovers that you may have in an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 3 days. If you can’t consume by that point in time, freeze this for later in a freezer-safe container. Freezer foods are typically good for up to 6 months from the freezing date.
I used Mozzarella cheese on top, but you use any variety that you wish. I always grate my cheese by hand to avoid the added ingredients in preshredded cheese.
